Countless iconic scenes in <Stranger Things> are homages to <E.T.> The bicycle chase, the search in the woods, the scene where they dress Eleven in a dress—it's no exaggeration to say the key scenes of Seasons 1 and 2 were taken from <E.T.> In later episodes, there's a scene of Dustin on a payphone, and one of the captured kids wears a t-shirt reading "E.T. Phone Home."
